Mrs. Amanda Easter
I am a ceramic artist from Elkin, North Carolina in the heart of Surry County. I have been working with clay for over 13 years and teaching people about clay for 6 years. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in Ceramics from Appalachian State University. I love to teach classes of all ages; to help shape young minds and to foster creativity.
The main drive of my life and my work is my belief and love of God and how He has influenced my life. I can see the hands of God at work in nature and how everything is made perfectly to work together in unison, this drives my work as it gives me purpose and meaning in life. The second biggest motivation in my life is my beautiful daughter and wanting to foster creativity, imagination, and beauty in her life so she knows all about art and the beautiful design of nature.
I love creating but I also love teaching and being able to share my talents and a small piece of myself with others. My main goal in life is to always make beautiful work that inspires and speaks to people while sharing my creativity and teaching others how to make beautiful works.

This Community is God's: A Journey of Faith and Education
My husband, Aaron, and I are humbled to be the stewards of this ministry, a vibrant community bound together by God’s unwavering word. As we stand still on His promises, we feel His presence guiding us and binding us together as a community of faith.
One of the greatest blessings in my life is my daughter, Emma Grace. From the moment I learned I was pregnant, I was in awe of the trust God placed in me to nurture His creation. Motherhood has deepened my understanding of God’s grace and has fueled my passion for education and community building.
I have always cherished the opportunity to be there for students whenever they need, whether it's to bring calm, share laughter, embrace seriousness, or simply listen. Although I didn't initially see myself as a teacher, given my less-than-stellar experience assisting in college, I found profound joy in the uncontainable love that younger children have for Jesus. Over time, I discovered my calling in working with older kids.
Nearly ten years ago, we embarked on a homeschooling journey and noticed a gap in resources for middle and high school students. Although I hoped someone would address this need by the time Emma Grace reached that stage, I was shown by God we were to step up. I strive to know each of our families and students personally, to engage with them and demonstrate our investment in their lives.
Safety is paramount in our ministry; we ensure that all instructors and volunteers undergo federal background checks and are fingerprinted at the Sheriff's office every five years. This level of diligence reflects the worth we place on each student and their peace of mind.
Though I am affectionately teased as "the one who prepares you for college," my true joy lies in cultivating a lifelong love of learning in our students and encouraging them to explore their passions. I delight in sharing my "nerd facts" and sparking curiosity. Aaron and I, having navigated diverse career paths before becoming parents later in our journey, bring unique insights into different fields, enriching our approach to education.
Every student is my priority, and I pour my energy into all that we do. Now in our third year, we are energized to expand our horizons with community gatherings, field trips, a Christmas party, an End of Year Party, and perhaps even a concert. We aspire to fulfill every dream our students wish to pursue. We are going to start trying to do shadowing and at the co-op let the students take the lead as our current video of our co-op/community
In every role I embrace—parent, mother, teacher, director—I remain steadfast in my faithfulness to God. This ministry is a testament to His glory and our unwavering commitment to fostering a community rooted in love, learning, and faith.

Mrs. Karin Peoples
Hi! I’m from Germany, and I grew up close to the Bavarian Alps. At only 19 years old I moved to Bosnia-Herzegovina, a country in Eastern Europe that had experienced a four year long war. I started out helping local churches reach out to families and children impacted by the war. During my 13 years of ministry there, I served at a Christian Youth Center, teaching English and German. I also pioneered and ran an Education Program for unschooled children and dropout students of an ethnic minority, helping them to graduate from Middle and High School.
Whether through mission trips or privately, I have travelled to the Middle East, to Africa, to Asia and all over Europe, and I have gotten to know and love many different cultures.
I have a TEFL Certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from Cambridge University, UK and have attended Bible School in Germany and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
My passion is to see young people explore their God-given gifts and talents, and to excel in life.
Mrs. Suzanne West
Hola. Me llamo Suzanne West. My first love is Jesus. Anything good in my life is only because of Him. My second love is my husband and 5 amazing kids. My third love is Spanish. I have taught for over 26 years. I have homeschooled our children for 22 of those years. We have graduated 3 kids and have 2 more to go.
In Middle School, my Spanish teacher realized I had a gift with Spanish and she helped cultivate that in my life. I continued using that gift in high school as I helped at a Spanish Church and translated at a free medical clinic. I worked with International Students in college and spent a summer doing ministry with migrant workers in Charleston SC and a summer in Puerto Rico. I also enjoy teaching Bible, Science and History.
Ms. Sherri Womble
"In the beginning God". 4 of my favorite words in scripture. Everyday God wakes me up I want to live every second talking to folks about who He is and who He created them to be. While I have a degree from UNCG in Child Development and Family Relations and Certification as a Christian Life Coach, my experience of walking alongside adults, teens and children and helping them to live the life they were created to live, is what I am most passionate about. Teaching Bible at Trinity Home Educators is a privilege and honor.
